The Fragrance Foundation certainly has a winner on its hands with its newly added Indie category for 2012, which will be awarded in partnership with January’s Elements Showcase. As fragrance submissions continue to pour in to the office of The Fragrance Foundation, Mary Ellen Lapsansky, vice president of The Fragrance Foundation, has announced that the decision was made to extend the submission deadline to Wednesday, December 7.

“The response has been amazing,” said Lapsansky, “so obviously these wonderful indie brands are eager to compete with each other (on the friendliest possible terms of course) for the prestige of being finalists, with the winner stepping up to accept the 2012 “Indie” FiFi Award at the Elements Showcase award celebration on Monday, January 30th. With all the buzz generated by this FiFi Award category as well as the $10,000 prize generously provided by Givaudan in support of this first-time initiative, it’s a great opportunity for indie brands to shine.
